Youth Group Building Activities Available at Point 11.

Swim

Point 11 has one of the finest camp pools in America. Pool games and activities are abundant, including water rings, trapeze, diving boards, water basketball, and more are all found in our pool area. Pool time at camp shows kids that it's good to be nice to one another and play hard in the sun. Weather may not permit the pool from being open during some Fall and Spring retreats. Point 11 Life Guards are on duty when the pool is open.

Blob

Located in our pool area, the blob is a camp favorite for kids and adults alike! The history of the blob starts right here in Missouri and we have some of the best. The blob brings the camp together and teaches the spiritual truth of encouragement. It takes a great deal of faith for campers of all ages to make that leap of faith. Other campers who have experienced the thrill will encourage you to take the plunge!

Water Slide

Get ready to accelerate down the curly water slide at Point 11! Ride by yourself or choose a friend, grab a mat and climb to the top for the count down to splash down! Sometimes it takes a bit of a hard climb, patience and willingness to try new things to get to the most fun things in life. A slide adventure awaits you at Point 11!

Trapeze

It's advisable to buckle tight for this high-flying activity! You and a friend get strapped in, locked and loaded before being released to swing out over the trees of Point 11. This is an optional activity for retreats. High-flyers will get the thrill and excitement of conquering their fears and putting their faith in others.

Rings

Can you make it all the way out and all the way back over the deep waters below? You'll have to grip hard and keep your eyes on the prize when you try this fun pool activity. You'll learn the art of taking one "ring" at a time, never looking down, never looking back.

Water Basketball

Too hot to get on the courts for a little three-on-three? Take the teams to the pool and get a workout with a splash. Work hard to beat your "man" and take it to the basket with conviction and you can win. Get creative and make up your own rules and variations on a pool-time favorite. Just like in your group back home, team work is the key to success!

Slippy Slide

Long plastic runway, water and a big hill. Are there three ingredients more fun together?! Grab a friend and race down together and see who is first to splash down. Carve out enough time to slip, slide, repeat! You won't want to stop having this much fun.

Kayaks

Beautiful Table Rock Lake is teeming with fish and just off the water front at Point 11 you'll see it teeming with kayaks. Kids and adults can put their balance skills to the test, paddling around and exploring the fun of kayaking. Learn skills that give you the courage to explore new places and see new things all over the world.

Boating & Tubing

A big inner-tube, a boat, a friend and some of the finest tubing waters in America await you at Point 11. Hold on tight for a fun ride on the waves. Stay anchored to the boat and you'll go far. Let go and you'll find your self swimming with the fish, but don't worry we'll come pick you up! (extra fee)

Canoe

For generations of campers the simple and soothing ride of a canoe is just what they needed to rest and relax in the beauty of Table Rock Lake. But, beware of Pirates! You and your crew may not be the only boat at sea. Come ready to paddle hard and pull together to escape the dangers. Your crew is counting on you. Learn the lesson that it takes working together, doing different tasks to accomplish the mission.

Roller Blades

Take a spin around our looping 1/2 mile roller blade track. Just go to the roller blade shack by the trampoline and gear up with helmet, elbow and knee pads and a pair of blades. Take a leisurely lap to talk with a friend or see who's the fastest set of blades on the Point. Ready, Set, get2thepoint!

Basketball

Point 11 was built with serious ballers in mind. The genuine hardwood court indoors and a large covered basketball arena outdoors provide ample opportunity for a game of horse with a new found friend or a full on, Point 11 wide tournament. We have the basketballs you just bring the game!

Softball

The crack of the bat never felt as good as it does at Point 11! Put your teams together and find your way to the ball diamond and take a swing at America's greatest game. The crisp smell of the near by lake and the late afternoon shade make this a great way to be outdoors as friends talk and teammates encourage each other. This is truly a camp classic you won't want to miss.

Football

Flag vs. touch. Boys vs. Girls. Cabin vs. cabin. Bring your heart and your soul to the Point 11 gridiron. It is on this field that your passion for victory will be put to the test. Can you catch the big pass? Do you know the plays? You might just learn something about getting a game plan for living the Christian life, for stepping out and being a leader when the battles of the heart and mind seem to press all around. Leave nothing on the field.

Volleyball

Bump! Set! Spike it! on the volleyball courts at Point 11. Indoor, outdoor or in the sand take your pick of three venues for your showdown at the net. Take your turn at the serve. Back up your teammate. Never, never assume that someone else is going to get it. What leadership skills will you take off the courts this summer?

Soccer

Take it to the net striker! Warm up on a short jog back towards the entrance gate and on your left you'll find the soccer field. This regulation size field is carved out of the lush woods that surround the peninsula that is Point 11. It's a joy to run the plays that will set your team up for the victory goal. Bring your cleats and we'll take care of the rest.

Barn Swing

Maybe it's a midwestern thing but the big double person barn swing at Point 11 will be a huge hit with campers from all over the world. Even the "little barn swing" will find you whipping up a wind storm of fun. Take the road back towards the gate and you'll find the Barn Swing fun spot on your left just a two minute walk from the Dining Hall.

Climbing Wall

Under the gym, where the ping pongs ping and the foosballs foos you'll find one of Southwest Missouri's largest climbing walls. Professional gear and a range of skill challenging surfaces make this a safe place to find the strength you need to make it to the top. From the gym windows above, great photo opportunities can make this a lasting memories to share with family and friends back home.

Faith Poles

There are few things at Point 11 that bring a greater challenge and a greater sense of accomplishment than the faith poles. Get harnessed, hooked in and climb your way to the top of a telephone pole. When you make it to the top you take a huge leap of faith and grab the trapeze bar that seems just out of reach. What are you putting your faith in today and where will that take you tomorrow. Take the challenge and grow big in your faith. this is an optional activity for rental camps and Christian retreats.

Biking

Take a bike and hit one of the mountain trails cut through the woods of Point 11. Maybe a road tour out to the gate and back puts the wind in your hair. Either way, our bikes and safety equipment are at the ready for your group.

Ultimate Frisbee

Replace the football with a disc and you have Ultimate Frisbee. The fields of Point 11 have felt the thunder of the glorious feet pounding, body checking battles fought over that little flying disk. Rest assured that this game will leave you tired and hungry when supper time comes around. Are you watching for the Ultimate pass?

Frisbee Golf

Take a tour of the Point 11 grounds while you and your friends put your frisbee skills to the test. 18 holes will keep you busy, but don't forget to take time to share the fun with those you pass by. This is the perfect game for people who just want to be outside having fun.

Ropes Course

There are few things in life this safe and this structured that lead to so much learning about yourself and about others. As you and your partner make your way through the ropes course at Point 11 it's not what you can do that makes a difference. It's what can "we" do. Sometimes you have to take routes by yourself, but you can't move forward without your partner. Sometimes it's impossible to proceed unless you work together. Can you figure out the right path? Can you figure out how to work together to a greater goal. Who are you relying on?

Challenge Course

Only teams go through this one. Take your whole cabin on a team building mission to get over and through tough situations. From the strongest to the weakest, everyone is important to completing the challenge. You might be surprised who the key to success really is.

Trampoline

Bounce on our in-ground trampoline with your cabin group. Buckle up for some twist and turns or test your creativity freestyle. Safety first, watching out for the unexpected is everyone's job as they gather around the tramp to be spotters and encouragers. It's good to have a group of friends when life starts bouncing you around. What kind of friends are you surrounding yourself with?
